We
are excited to announce some further information regarding our long-awaited
initial premium subwoofer line:
We
have been developing powerful, realistic subwoofers using dual-gap
geometry technology. Some key design goals have been to improve upon
the efficiency, extension, cooling, chassis, and excursion capabilities
above and beyond existing dual-gap offerings on the market, while
simultaniously offering prices unheard of for subwoofers of this stature.
"Speak
softly, and carry a big stick"
But as great as that all sounded... we wanted an even bigger
stick.
We want a product that simply sells itself - something to leave no
shadow of a doubt remaining. Something that performs so exceptionally
well, while offering such a high value for the dollar, that all other
options seem silly in comparison. We still have day jobs, after all
(eh, who needs profit?).
That being
said, we have made significant enhancements
to the designs that we have been showing and discussing
- all the while staying within our design goals:
- We have
developed our own proprietary, brand new dual-gap motor,
which will offer not just higher excursion capabilities, but also
higher BL, a wider BL curve, and greater efficiency.
- We have
increased total excursion capabilities further still, by employing
an all-new cone unit, buying critical rear clearance for
excursion.
- We have
improved our suspension design, in part by utilizing a higher
excursion spider unit, which will push the spider's linear
excursion capabilities into the realm of overkill.
- As with
previous designs, we are employing the commonly available open-tool
12 spoke basket for it's high performance, inherent cooling,
and low cost.
